About
Cypher QA exists for a simple reason: most software defects are findable before release — if someone looks for them systematically.
Cypher QA is an independent software quality engineering service. It helps teams find defects earlier through structured testing, improve release confidence through evidence-based reporting, and automate quality processes so they keep working after the engagement ends.
The practice sits at the intersection of QA, automation, and software engineering. Testing here is not a checklist activity — it is engineering work with frameworks, pipelines, typed models, and reporting infrastructure, much of it built in the open as the Nexus Quality Engineering Platform and CypherPilot.
Work starts with scope: what will be tested, in which environments, against which risks, and what “done” means. From there, testing proceeds in focused passes with findings delivered as they are confirmed — not held until the end. Automation engagements hand over documented, runnable repositories your own engineers own afterward.

A defect report that cannot be reproduced is noise. Every finding includes steps, environment, expected-versus-actual behavior, and evidence where available.
Not everything should be automated. High-value, repetitive flows become maintainable suites; one-off checks stay exploratory. The judgment about which is which is the service.
The deliverable is a decision you can act on. If the answer is hold, the report says hold — with the reasoning and the evidence behind it.
